Description

Funding Opportunity:

The Donor Alliance Foundation has opened its annual grant cycle, accepting proposals from nonprofit community health-serving organizations that advance the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in Colorado and Wyoming. We will consider applications only from nonprofit, academic, and governmental organizations. Individuals, including Donor Alliance employees, are not eligible to apply. This includes nonprofit hospitals (or for-profit hospitals and nonprofit foundations), Transplant Centers, other nonprofit foundations, governmental agencies, and associations that support donation and transplantation efforts.

Applicants must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service, a tax-supported institution such as a hospital, school, or nonprofit organization, or have a formal fiscal sponsorship arrangement with a tax-exempt organization. Organizations with pending grant requests to other foundations may apply for this grant opportunity. Organizations may submit only one application per area, for a total of up to three, in response to this request for proposals. The only exception is Research submissions, which may be submitted by up to three separate departments, each led by a different project director. When two or more organizations partner on a program or project, one organization should submit a single proposal on behalf of the partnership.

Eligible Organizations:

Proposals must meet the criteria outlined in the RFP, and organizations must serve the population within The Foundation's service area of Colorado and Wyoming. Proposals must be submitted via this online platform (a letter of intent is not required) by 5:00 PM MDT on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Application & Awards Process:

Applications must be submitted through The Donor Alliance Foundation’s online grant portal. If you are a new applicant, you will need to create a login and account to complete, view, and submit your grant application. Returning applicants may use their login credentials from past cycles. Only applications submitted through The Donor Alliance Foundation’s online grant portal will be considered.
